p.2 #1 · p.2 #1 · How many pictures will you deliver on CD to the client?

thanks all for great tips.
I normally deliver more than what i state it in the list. For 8 hours wedding, i deliver 300 or more pictures.

For bridal session, I edit pictures in PS (skin, color, wb, special effects...etc...). During the wedding day and reception, i mostly edit pictures in LR with minor adjust. If i see any pic that i need to go into detail editing, then i use PS.

Thanks again

Richard, it's the tail end of winter. Cold, dry air. Chapped lips. Don't make me unexpectedly laugh like that. This time of year, I grin broadly and I bleed.

I'm on the other side of the coin, and I don't recommend it. I deliver lots of photos. I would rather deliver fewer photos more carefully edited.

Joey, what keeps you from doing what you would prefer?

Just curious, Diggler, why CD still and not flash drive?

What is "fully edited" for you guys? I usually deliver around 400 for an 8-hour wedding, but only a few get more than a blanket treatment, even if I look at them all.

Mike, are you saying you deliver some images you don't review?

What I meant is while I look at every image, I don't tweak them all individually. I mostly process in batches and if I notice any shots I really like, I might do more with those. Maybe local adjustments in Lightroom or even more in Photoshop.

I've ignored the rest of this thread, but I generally deliver between 1,000,000 and 2,000,000 photographs to the client because I think it's incredibly important to worry about the number of photos I deliver to each client. Very super important and I stress that, it's so super important I deliver the right amount.

Sorry, I'll see myself out now...

Hey, Chuck.

A couple reasons really ...

For one, you can impress the clients with some fancy packaging:

And for two, I've always done it this way and no one has ever complained.

You need this guy. Seriously, I never go anywhere without him! He's in my pocket right now.

I used to deliver DVDs in a case like that, too. Very attractive, looks great, always impresses the client, but the DVD data disk is archaic. So I still get the case, very attractive, looks great, always impresses the client, but now they're happier because they have a flash drive with their names on it instead of a DVD data disk. Some computers, like a MacBook Pro, don't even have the DVD disk as part of the actual computer.

and now if they buy the brand new Macbook they will have to buy an adapter to even be able to plug in their USB flash drive Doesn't matter what format you choose, it will be obsolete. It's not a question of with what, but when.
