p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Dirt on mirror, easy cleaning or shop bound?

I took my camera (Nikon D7100) out this weekend and noticed a nice little black spot in the middle of every shot. After switching lenses and cleaning everything other than the mirror I realized that there is nice speck somewhere inside the camera. I cannot locate it but it is definitely inside.
What is the best way to go about locating removing this spot? Should I attempt it myself or take it to a shop?
I've looked at the mirror and cannot see a thing, so I wonder if it is further inside.

Did you try air blower? It removes dust effectively. When you use the blower its effective you keep mount facing down.

If it shows up in photos it has to be on the sensor. All you have to do is lock the mirror up and clean it using one of many available cleaning kits.

I used a blower but didn't do too much because I was afraid of hurting something. I've always heard to stay away from the inside of a camera.
I may have to run out and grab a cleaning kit and try a little harder.

Just used the camera's menu setting to clean the sensor and all is perfect. My God I feel like an idiot.
Glad it was that simple.
