We had hoped for a big Valley snow dump to coincide with Yosemite Renaissance, and since we hadn't been in the Valley exactly one year and even longer w/out snow, took a 1/2 day and raced from LA to the park.

While the weather over the weekend was variable and lovely, the only snow we got was when we visited Tunnel View (a place I keep swearing never to return to) 4 times on Saturday, and it 'snowed' on us twice with little pebble-like drops. Lots of light drama, but oddly enough not always enough clouds in the right places.

My first real trip outside a studio with the GH4 and, if you've used both the GH3 and 4 over some time, although the differences can be subtle in image quality, they are definitely there, esp in detail and base ISO DR. Combined with the Olympus 75 1.8m, and the right footwork, the results surpass what I had expected to be able to squeeze out in post.

Beautiful! Great composition enhanced by the balanced and framing shadow elements.
