The day started out sunny, so we decided to take a drive out towards Canby Oregon, thinking that we could take a nice long walk. Unfortunately the sun disappeared by the time we arrived in Canby, so we just drove around the area. I noticed these funky clouds to our left, but there was no way for me to pull over so I gave up. 30 minutes later, I was able to stop, which was about 2 miles outside of Mt Angel, on some back road and take this shot, which is not what I had in mind, but "a" shot is better than no shot. Played around with it a little. I realize it will not be most people's cup of tea, but it isn't getting printed so why not.

Interesting. I like the creativity here with this. Often the times we try to make something out of nothing or very little can be the most fun. I do wish the trees were moved to the right a little more in this shot, but otherwise, very cool.

Of all people Jim, I thought you would have hated it, so I am happy that you don't.

I did move around a bit, I didn't use my tripod, so I had different angles, one was just like what you mentioned, but deleted it after I was done with this. Not sure why.

In any case, thank you for your positive post.

I love your creativity. The way you have processed the image really sets a gloomy mood in the sky but the eye is lead to a ray of white light in the lower left - Mt Hood. Excellent.
