Try removing the internal battery. Not sure if the D810 has one. Otherwise ti's a faulty shutter release switch. Maybe moisture...
It could be a battery issue. I remember when I shot around below -10C at Shirakawa-go, Japan, and my D3X body was almost covered in ice due to heavy snow, when I turned off the switch, it took longer for the camera to turn off. Try another battery....
