I know just how difficult those shots are to get Ken, and I'd be pretty happy with the results you got. Well done!
The snow crystal shot is beautiful.
Cheers,

Thanks kindly Harry, and thanks for the suggestion to go check the place out. Thought I would be skunked, but the action came, and two falcons had kills within seconds of each other (2nd was other side of the terminal, but I saw it fly away with a payload.

Absolutely awesome capture. What a lucky guy you were to be in the right place at the right time, and you were on you toes well enough to make the best of it. Congrats.
As for the "Wild snow crystals", I'm so glad you made sure we knew they were wild. They are so much harder to sneak up on than tame ones or pet ones. Other than their elusiveness, you really can't tell the difference in the image between wild and otherwise. I could have been completely fooled.
In all seriousness though, that is really "cool" (pardon the pun). A great capture. I'm so amazed you spotted it along the side of the road. I would have driven right past it without even seeing it.

Very nice action set and it must be thrilled to see the catch, Ken.

Thanks Tam. It was quite thrilling. Wish I came away with better results though. I need a longer prime lens.

A neat action set Ken, and well done too - if a bit far. The last shot is real nice ~ Ron
I was reaching for sure. That combo at least has auto focus, unlike on the 7D. But getting things sharp seems to be a challenge for me. Thanks for commenting Ron.
