Birdie #3 is a wall hanger for sure, #1 not far behind, excellent post.

Birdie, you really have something special in #3. Morris is right; you should look for opportunities to show that one to a larger audience.
Since you solicited C&C: I agree with Geoff's comment that looking at a vertical crop may pay off. The quality of the image is superb, and the chickadee has a beautiful pose, but the composition seems a little off balance to me. In some ways it's a shame to crop away interesting elements from a photo, but maybe less is more in this case??
Bottom line: more great shots from Ms. B.

I love your work Birdie... love it!

Carolina Chickadee is a beautiful image, cool pose, killer good BG, perfect exposure showing terrific detail from whites all the way to the blacks as well... even the perch adds interest. Excellent Birdie.
#2 is a House Finch ... another very nice image, super pano comp... I'd be very tempted to clone out the branch in upper left.
#3 is flat out awesome... your vision and execution of these gorgeous images is incredible. Love it.

Top notch work my friend, and such a pleasure to view.

Kirk

Kirk, thank you kind sir I really appreciate your thoughtful detailed comments. I hear you about the branch, started to crop it out, will see what it does.

There are just some posts I look forward to opening know I'll see something special...and this is no exception. The chickadee and house finch are the types of images I'm used to seeing from you and the last is that out of the box wow image I marvel at.
I agree with Kirk about the branch but I think I understand it's inclusion as it parallels the bird.
The background for the dandelion is just gorgeous.
Eric

Eric, you are so very kind, thank you ! I'm iffy on the branch, will clone it out and see what it does.

The first two are your usual top quality bird images Roberta. The last is stunning, creative and original. Print huge, submit for publication or contests.

Morris

Thanks so much Morris ! If I had any idea on what contests, I would enter

Hi Birdie:

#1 Great bg and color. Great chickadee pose and detail. One small nit, try a tad of NR on the CDee prior to any sharpening.

#2 Clone out the branch above.

#3 An original dynamic capture!

Ted

Thank you Ted . I agree with your nit. By the time I noticed the noise, it was too late and I was too lazy to start over
You make three that tell me the branch has to go, so it must go
Glad you liked the last one

Beautiful work, Birdie. I really like the flower. That "fire" red background works for me.

Thanks Tam ! I was afraid that the red flower would be over powering. Glad it worked out.

Great set Birdie.

In the first I love the background colours, not too excited about that clump of stuff on the right side. I wonder if a vertical crop would work to cut out that stuff. The pose could work with a vertical.
The second may be better without that top stick but it kind of works as it mirrors the angle of the bird and frames him within the two branches.
Love the colours and the reflection in the dandelion seed shot. That shot is the winner for me.

Geoff

Thanks so much Geoff, for the detailed reply. So you don't like the moss It hangs in so many of the trees here, and I am so use to seeing it, I didn't really notice it as a distraction, but I can see where it would be. Will play with the crop. Again, thanks so much. I appreciate the comments that make me think about the shots.

Mark, thanks so very much for your detailed reply. I am going to play with the crop . For some reason vertical is not something that comes naturally to me
