Nice set. It must be a treat to get the siskins all the way down there.

This is the first time I've seen Pine siskins here. It was a real treat to capture them on such a "photo-friendly" day—lazy snowflakes and good lighting.

I keep saying it, but it's true... I'm a sucker for Cardinals, and in the snow? Well, that tops it. Looks like that Tamron is doing a good job for you.

I've been extremely impressed with the Tamron lens in combination with the Canon 6D. For me, the lens has performed better with the full-frame sensor than my (now gone) older 7D.

Very nice set of Songbirds, and the snowflakes (both falling and resting on the birds) add a lot of beauty and interest to your images.
These are all very well composed IMO, and you positioned yourself well to get very pleasing BG's too. Well done.
All are lovely, but my favorites are the Downy Woodpecker and the Female Northern Cardinal. Very, very nice.
My only nit is the reds on the Male NC seem too saturated to my eye... those are very difficult to manage.
Very nice work and a pleasure to view.

BTW... These are among the best images I've seen from the Tamron lens. Well done. ...Show more →
Thanks Kirk. And yes, the red can be overwhelming with male cardinals. It's amazing the variance in the tones and luminosity of that color depending on the lighting.
