Just got back from a photo safari in the Rockies, last year I was there around February and was late to capture the famous methane bubbles of Abraham lake.

This year it was favorable and was able to capture it with good light.

For three consecutive days we were gifted with good light and it was one of those moments you felt lucky and blessed.

Another shot of Abraham Lake and the methane bubbles that seemed to be plenty this year.

Edwin, I like the second shot much better than the first, the sky is softer.

The methane bubbles do a great job of leading the eye to glowing mountain.

Wow. Very nicely done. Love the crisp FG and BG detail. I imagine it's a multiple exposure?

Stunning!!! #2 for me also.....I think it is the lower angle that I like better but #1 is a great image as well.

Holy cow, great pair of images here. The second does it for me.

Really like the first as well, but I found the saturation of the reds/pinks in the ice a bit distracting. Awesome captures

Yes, you were extremely lucky being there at the right time. Those pictures you posted were taken on the 20th and 21st.
I went to the area on the 24th and stayed there until 26th and the weather was so warm, there was no way I could stand on the surface of the lake, except one place where people made so much tire tracks all over the place, which was also very sluggish the day I left. Your images are great, a little bit too saturated to my taste though. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful sceneries that are very well translated into impressive pictures. Especially the second is a wall hanger.
