A few more from around the golf course...I used to collect my share of birdies here once upon a time and really only noticed the diving pelicans. These were all shot with the 7D2 and 100-400v2 and some are big crops especially the kingfisher (hence more noise is visible).

A super set Eric. All of these are nice and crisp. The KF shots are good, and they are so hard to do well, (except for Tony and Kenny), that I'd be happy with them. I believe your bittern is another GH - the dark cap and spotted chest look very familiar. ~ Ron

Wait somethings wrong - not cats?!?! The golf course sure produced though. The iguanas are certainly my picks. We don't have anything like those here in the northeast.

That was a great looking set to view Eric. Lots of variety and birds I've not seen before in the first couple shots. Good job on the KFIF.

Thanks Herb...it's just called the Puerto Rican Woodpecker....I have some better shots from other years including coming out of a nest hole....I'll have to find them on a hard drive somewhere.

Thanks Ron...I was pleased with how the kf's turned out considering what I went through to get them....and this is at least the second time a greenie fooled me into thinking I had seen my first bittern....one day

The only cats here are feral and I stay far away from them....I really like the lizards here with great colors and textures....our modern day slice of Jurassic Park. Remember the days when all dinos were portrayed as grey....don't think so!

Terrific set from paradise, Eric. I like the woodpeckers most, but enjoyed them all. It looks like that kingfisher is giving that 100-400 quite the test

Birdie

Thanks Birdie...I wish I could have gotten a wee bit closer to the kingfisher but it would have none of it...a glance my way and it was off to the opposite side of whatever body of water it was using at the time

Thanks Harsha...they are so primordial and with such great texture and color...wish I spent a bit more time with them but they do get a bit skittish.

Thanks Liki....in my youth I used to go to a hotel that put out bowls of sugar and the birds would come to the breakfast table to partake...and back them I really was interested in taking their photo.

The woodies are pretty neat but that kingfisher is my nemesis bird...I was able to track it ok with the 100-400...I suspect any more lens and I would have been lost.
