One of my favorite things that I've found with the M9 (I believe due to its CCD) is that you can blast the crap out of vibrance and saturation with super minimal color distortion at lower ISOs. It's really helped me develop a very vivid, rich style (I think).
I actually use VSCOfilm for just about all of my images, specifically the "slide film" pack - I think it's VSCO 04. My standard preset is a mildly tweaked version of the Provia 400 preset.
I've been using Yongnuo 560 IIIs exclusively for flashes since they came out a couple years ago. They're dirt cheap, reliable, simple, have built-in wireless receivers, and have remote control power/zoom functions. I think I have 5 or 6 of them laying around. Highly recommended.
