p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · M42 lenses winding too far

Hi,

I have a Novoflex adaptor on my A7r. With my Pentax Super Takumar 50mm and 35mm they screw on and line up perfectly. I just recieved a Super Takumar 85mm 1.9 and it screws on about 10 degrees too far. Very annoying as you can't adjust aperture by feel as you don't have a reference point for 'straight'. Is this a problem with the lens? Does it mean that I will have other issues apart from the non straight zero point for the aperture?

Thanks!

Does the aperture pin end up in the correct spot? (Same as the 35 & 50) if it does, someone may have reassembled it incorrectly, because they should all be the same.

I'll have to check if I can even see the aperture pin from the other side. I should check that I still get infinity also I suppose.

I seem to get infinity precisely at the infinity stop but have to stop down to f3.5 to check, the lens is rather very dreamy until then . I checked the aperture pin, it is also rotating a similar amount compared to the other two lenses. Does this mean the mount on the lens is worn?

I've initiated a return with the ebay seller who thankfully is a very nice gentleman.
