Lovely stuff Ron. The first is a wonderfully detailed image. The last is comical. In between is a whole bunch of goodness. Well done.

oops, a little quick on the trigger there my friend...part 2 of part II is just as nice and of course my favorite is that legless critter drinking from the pool of water...and that is quite the turd that hawk evacuated!
Eric

Hmmm - I may have to start calling you Mr Mcgraw. Thanx Eric. (I think you are old enough to get the reference. )

Very nice Ron. The Santa Clara ranch is a great place to find our local critters and to photograph them. When Birdie came for a visit, I missed our one and only blind glimpse of the Roadrunner. You got a wonderful shot! Your Lark sparrow ID is correct. The correct spelling for #4 & 6 is Pyrrhuloxia (aka Desert Cardinal, and not easy to remember the spelling). Number 4 is the female and 6 is the male. Very handsome birds.

Lets see, 9 excellent, beautiful captures, usually means for myself I shot a 1000 to get that 9 and they will not come to close to your nine. Please tell me these are trained to appear on command in the right light at the right time? Great stuff.

Gerard

Thanx Gerard. I did shoot several thousand images over 4 days. These were taken on a ranch that specializes in bird photography, and they have blinds set up to shoot from. Some blinds are set up for morning shoots, and some for evening shoots.

Outstanding set, Ron. Thanks for remembering to post them.
If forced to choose, I particularly like the first two, and both the Pyrrhuloria shots.
Well done!
