I was in Central Park today and the birds were very, very active trying to get enough food to prepare for this major snowstorm we're about to have in NYC. There were two young Red-tailed Hawks desperately diving for the sparrows, although they were not having any success. Hopefully they make it. Also, a Common Redpoll was present, which is a very good bird for Central Park and the first time I'd ever seen one!
