I have been following the threads on 7DII problems with interest I got the first copy my dealer got in and I have been fighting it ever since. I gave up today and took it to the dealer for them to sne in to Canon for me. If it is just me then fine but I need to have the camera looked at. I have tried BIF shots with image stabilization both on and off. I set ISO to get shutter speed of 1/3000 second. I set it to focus priority. I tried single focus point but when images came out muddy and blurred I blamed it in me missing focus. Then I tried the eight surrounding points with the same results and wondering again if it was me. Then I tried all focus points with the hawks almost filling the frame against a blank sky. I sent my Tamron 150-600 in for the firmware update. I read about possible thermal convection blurring shots from inside the car so I got out of the car to shoot. I could perhaps accept the fact that I'm an idiot and will never get decent BIF shots but even static shots weren't reliable. It has me wishing that I hadn't sold the 60D so fast. I like the improved high ISO performance and the 10 shots per second (nothing like having twice as many blurry shots to delete). I may miss some chances at BE while it's gone but won't miss the frustration of blurry bald eagles. Thanks for letting me vent. It didn't help but thanks anyway.
