I think this would have looked better if you'd changed your colour temperature to tungsten. It's awfully yellow, to my way of thinking.

Tuzen: thanks for the positive comment.

Michael: I wondered about altering the colour. However, it was a very yellow scene. The wall in the background is painted a (slightly orangish) yellow and the lamb base itself is a yellowish beige. In the end, I decided I liked the colour because it is fairly "true". However, I can see how an experienced photographer would see it as a tungsten-dominated image. Anyway, thanks for your comment.

It took me a moment to realize what this really was. At first I thought the metallic element was the light shade and I was seeing the reflection of its lamp below. But then I realized that this is the reflection of a shaded table lamp from the top of its base.

It definitely has a sexy, seductive quality between the color, textures, and the way the specular reflections fall. It would have completely befuddled me if you had excluded any view of that top bracket from the shot. That's what finally told me what I was seeing!

Ron, Ken:

Thank-you both for your kind comments. But I had better not tell my wife that I'm taking "sexy, seductive" pictures

All the best,
