Thanks Kathy, Mary and I have to find some other things around here to shoot. We were down at Truman last weekend and there wasn't anything around. Usually you can find some Herons or Geese around the dam but the only thing there were a few Gulls. Drove thru Knob State Park several times over several days and no birds, deer, or anything else.
Maybe this warm spell is throwing everything out of whack

Rod, the gulls are the only thing I've seen there lately. I've never seen much at the Knob Park but I probably don't know where to go like you would.

I'm so ready for spring.

Nice sharp shots Rod. Technically they all look good, however my only suggestions are from composition point of view.
1. If I were you, I would give little bit more space in frame in the direction the bird is looking.
2. Sometimes those branches/twigs/leaves overlapping bird can be avoided by very slight change in angle or position (only if the bird can wait )

Rod, good job on exposure and focus.

I agree with codroy on the things he mentioned.

A couple other considerations:
1. Head angle - people tend to be drawn in more when it looks like the bird is looking at them. Pictures 2, 3 and 5 are nice head angles. I think 1 and 4 would be stronger if the bird had its head turned just a bit more to the camera. You can't always get the right head angle but that's what I strive for.
2. clean or uncluttered background - the pictures are a bit cluttered with all the branches. As codroy mentions sometimes very small movements can improve the background. I suspect this is in a backyard from seeing the seed. What you might consider is putting up a clean perch near a feeder. Birds may go to that perch before and/or after getting seed. Alan Murphy is the pro at getting these type of setups. You can use a second tripod to attach a branch for perches and then experiment from there. If you google him you will find his website and tips.

Good luck.

It's amazing what upping the shutter speed from 1/160 of a second does for those images from last time... Nice work!
