I had a D7000, bought it about 6 months after they came out. Had a ridiculous amount of oil spots, ended up having to clean after every shoot for the first 2 months or so. Eventually went away after that though. It's annoying, but not the end of the world...just might have to clean frequently.

I have a very early D7000 and still have to wet clean my sensor after every other shoot but it's not as bad as it use to be. I have a shoot on Sunday so I'll be cleaning it tonight. From the other posts it's not an is sinus with a lot of camera. I believe it was just an issue with a small number of the early cameras. It's a little irritating but I don't thank it's that big of a deal to clean the sensor.
I did notice that many of the threads about the D7000 oil issues were from 2-3 years ago, and that the issue was resolved after Nikon replaced the mirror box assembly in the affected cameras. Hopefully the later-production D7000s are immune from the oil issue.
