According to the focus point in the camera the focus is right on the cats nose. Either I'm doing something wrong or the camera isn't focusing right. Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

Hi Rod,

You'll have to provide a bit more info. Jeffrey's EXIF viewer isn't giving me very much on the photo. Camera, lens, settings, support, ... ?

It looks like a situation where AI Servo vs. One Shot, and/or AFMA vs. no lens calibration could explain things, but that's all stuff that you're up on.

Cool. All of that EXIF data wasn't in the post when I started to reply.

I'd suggest that AI Servo might be a better setting for a trotting cat, and I'd also like to do AFMA tests (and define in-camera AF micro-adjustment values), before evaluating how well the AF works on a trotting cat.

Gotta go - it's game time.
