p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Light from within

Here are three separate images, of the same subject (not the crop of the same image), taken on a rim of Grand Canyon.
I like all of them, for different reasons, but am leaning towards the third, even if it is not the sharpest (my tripod started to fail at low temperature.)

Which one do you like the best?

Advice is highly appreciated.

Sasha.

They are all great. I like the first, as it captures more of the feel of the canyon.

Isn't the Grand Canyon magnificent with snow? Some of my favorite trips there involved snow. What a beautiful place.

Thanks for sharing these beautiful shots.

Sasha,
Like Steve, I prefer #1, as it shows the canyon. If you are not concerned with including the canyon, however, #3 sure is a nice snowy tree portrait, although heavy on the left side.
As steve said, snow really glorifies the canyon, but dress warmly!

Hey Sasha,

That is some crazy cool backlight there on those trees. #1 is probably my favorite, though I do really like the closer view of #3. Great timing on your part.

The first is outstanding, the other two are good.

I do like the first 'cause the Canyon is so awesome, but my preference is for the third, it's more intimate and it better shows that beautiful light. The first is "Canyon w/light" the third is "Light w/canyon" The second doesn't work because my eye keeps looking a single point of interest and there isn't one.
As others say, Great Set...

Steve, thank you, and yes, Grand Canyon is magnificent under fresh snow.
I remember how I was chasing snowfall on a rim couple of winters ago

David, thank you! So #1 and #3!
As about "dress warmly" - absolutely! and wear cleats!

Jim, this was a very special light, perhaps because sun is so low - everything was shining and glowing, like there was some sort of magic.
So you are also for #1 and #3! Thanks!

Zeph, you described it very nicely, that's the talent with words I wish I had.
So you are for #1 and #3, too!

Sasha.
