p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · A River Finally Runs Through It (updated)

This was the 1st spot I visited when arrived in Yosemite earlier this month.
Wanted to see if there was much water running.
Did a little slip & fall getting here. Seems to be a trend with LF shooters (Alan are you listening )
After a little rainfall, the late fall rains finally turned the Merced back into a river!

Exposed on Fuji Acros, 90mm, I think it was @2 sec.

Hey Dan,

This looks pretty cool. Hopefully you were okay from your slip and fall.

I think I would crop this one a bit. Crop up from the bottom to lose that patch of snow in the left corner and crop from the top a bit to lose the upper right corner that is being lit by the sun. Which would leave you with a pano crop that I think might have some merit.

Hi Dan,

I'll second what Jim said. The bright whites at the bottom and top distract from the meat of the shot. Cloning or cropping work for me. I wouldn't take too much off the top because of the bare tree on the left.

Jim, Tim,

Finally tried something I was close to satisfied with.
Might need some fine tuning.
Did some selective clone/burn to alleviate the bright spots as
I am reluctant to crop much off this scene

Thanks

Dan
