p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · One hour in Sabino Canyon...

The holidays have been so busy that I haven't had the time to go out shooting that I'd hoped I would. I managed to find one hour to head into Sabino Canyon. Luckily, due to the recent rainfall we've had, the creek was really running and one of my favorite falls was really going. Here are a few from that shoot:

#4: This one is a huge pano. It clocks in at 211Mpixels, but that's not even the craziest part. Because it was still bright out, even with the ND filters I had brought with me, running at the equivalent of ISO 25, and stopping down as far as I could without running into diffraction limiting fuzz, I could only get around 2 second exposures. I wanted the water to look smoother so for each frame I stacked multiple exposures in photoshop to get exposure times equivalent to 10-20 seconds (I did this on the four shots above as well). But that means that this mega pano (which is made up of 18 frames) is actually made up of 107 photographs.

As always, CC are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave
