If I had a spot like this nearby I'd spend a lot of time there.
The lighthouse is a bit more utilitarian than I would expect from a Japanese lighthouse.
Is that a layer of fog just above the horizon in the third photo?
Cheers!

Thanks TJ!
I try to get out there a few times a years, it is about a 90 minute drive for me so not something I can do more often. Surprisingly most Japanese lighthouses are of similar design, they were originally built by an Englishman about 120 years ago. This one dates from 1905 actually.
What you are seeing on the horizon isnt fog, but sea spray. The winds were blowing upwards of 100kph, and there was the fine mist covering everything above the water, not to mention, me, the cameras and everything else I was carrying. Came home soaked!
Thanks!
