p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Brant and The City

These were taken about two weeks ago at the West Pond (lagoon) of Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge here in New York City. The first few photos are looking south and show the geese over Broad Channel with the Rockaways in the background. The last is looking west across Brooklyn to Manhattan. The tall building on the right is One World Trade Center. 1 WTC was going to be named the Freedom Tower. I think that was too classy for the politicians so they went with the address. It did reach the classic 1776 feet tall.
