So far it looks like it's the Sandisk Extreme Pro 95mb/s. What do you guys recommend?

I've read the Sandisk 95 MB/s UHS-3 cards produce the highest sustained buffer throughput on the D750. These are newer/different than the prior Sandisk 95 MB/s UHS-1 cards.

Sandisk Extreme pro 95MB/s (newest version).

Lots of cards only advertise their maximum read speed as well, when the most important thing is minimum sustained write speed.

The Sandisk Extreme Pro's seem to be the most consistent with living up to their claims. There are YouTube videos you can watch as well that shows camera speed with a full buffer, meaning it basically slows down to the speed at which the camera can write to the card. At the end of the day though, you're unlikely to notice a difference between any high-end card, but with how cheap they are these days, there is little point in not just buying the best IMHO.

Can the D750 use Sandisk's 280MB/s Extreme Pro cards?

I'm using the 95Mb/s cards as suggested above for my D810, so I can't comment on the new ones myself. It was a cost factor that kept me from even looking at the 280MB/s versions. Still, that would seem like a huge jump in speed if they were reliable and the camera could make use of it. For my D810 the SD gets JPEG's and the CF (160MB/s) gets the RAW files, so the CF card is more critical.

UHS-3 does not necessarily mean faster than UHS-1. It only a newer standard that requires a minimum sustained rate of 30Mb/s which many of the fastest UHS-1 cards (10Mb/s) were already outperforming. Read the reviews for the Samsung Pro. One guy measured a write speed of 78-93Mb/s. Another guy measured 68Mb/s. Another, 79Mb/s. That is faster than the Sandisk Extreme Plus (60Mb/s), which by the way was only marginally faster than the new Sandisk Extreme which measured 55Mb/s.

From the reviews I could find the Samsung Pro seems to be performing on par with the Sandisk Extreme Pro...or very, very close.

This is based on reading Amazon reviews where people posted CrystalDiskMark scores.

I asked this EXACT question on this thread: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1321565/0#12610787

The answer is... UHS-II is not faster than UHS-1 on the D750. In fact, it's slower.
The Sandisk 32GB UHS1 95/mbs is THE card you want for the D750.

This post indicates the UHS-II card is faster on the D750 than the UHS-I version.

The Lexar 1066x is as fast but sells for more than the Sandisk 95MB/sec cards. These are the fastest for both the D750 and the D8xx cameras. A 64GB card should hold 2500 RAW files from the D750 on average.

I have this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gobe-32GB-Extreme-PRO-UHS-1-104MB-s-Class-10-SD-SDHC-Card-SanDisk-/171563770867?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_PDAsAccessories_MemoryCards&hash=item27f1ff63f3

I have to say I'm really pleased with it. The speed is phenomenal.
