Thanks Herb. Yeah that fat elephant seal sort of ruined the shot

Hi Geoff,
I'm not so fond of the first yet the others are fantastic.
Morris
Thanks Morris. I wondered how the first would go over with the chopped off bottom and the OOF bird in the foreground.

Great shots and 3 great destinations. Glad you got to experience them. I also like that lens combo 70-200 with 1.4X TC. Did you try the 1.4 on the 200-400?
I'm anticipating your next posts! Keep posting. (S. Georgia is truly special)!!
Don
Thanks Don. We had a great E.L. and we landed at 4am (earliest allowed) so got to 3 locations per day some days. We also really lucked out with our weather on S.G. We only had to abort our landing at Prion Island as the swells were swamping our zodiac. I did try the 1.4 on the 2-4 a few times. I've used it before at home like that also. Most of the time I didn't need that much reach. I used the 70-200+1.4 for landings when I didn't bring the 200-400 along and for all the zodiac cruises for when we found seals or penguins on ice. I always had the 24-70 on the 5D3 along.

Fine shots, especially 3) and 4) stand out for me. The first one would be better with the feet not cut off or alternatively when cropped tightly.
Thanks. I knew the first might not be too popular because of that. It is full frame as they came at me too fast and only had the 200-400 ready to shoot. I still liked the sense of them rushing towards me in the shot.

Another very nice set Geoff. I'm with Herb on the picks. In 2, is the green stuff grass or lichen, or something else? ~ Ron
Thanks Ron. The green is grass in that shot. Spring time in S.G.

Four is my favorite too cute!
