Looking at asking for one for Christmas, would like 14mm or wider.

Is there much difference between the various 14-4x zooms? Which is the best?

Is the 9-18 good? 7-14?

Any others I should consider, I adapt 35 mm lenses, which usually are longer than 14mm. But there doesn't seem to be alot out there that's 14mm or wider.

The Panny 7-14 is good and the OM Pro 12-40 is excellent. Not sure about 14-4x.
Olympus are planning to release a 7-14 Pro version to complement their 12-40 and new 40-150 soon if you can wait.

The VC 12 and 15mm Heliars are options to adapt for moderate wide views. I don't think I've tried them though and their MFD is a bit long so you might want a Hawks adapter

The Olympus 12mm is excellent. The panny 7-14mm is excellent too. Between those two I'm not sure I would even look at alt glass for WA or UWA on m43... The Olympus 9-18 takes filters, unlike the 7-14mm and is also decent.
