All these were taken on a fruit farm with coconut palms during a brief visit that lasted a few hours!!!. The farm is less than 200 KM from Bangalore. Business trips don't give you much time for other fun activities. I do not know all the species.

The highlight of the outing - a pair of Gray Hornbills.

Coucal

Cuckoo

Red vented bulbul??

Yellow billed babbler also called "Seven Sisters" -

Wow, what a variety you have here. Last looks similar to a yellow bIlled cuckoo bird in our parts. I'd expect the kestrel to have more of a hooked beak like most falcons/hawks.

Very nice set of birds we don't see on here very often. Herb is right, the last is some sort of cuckoo, not sure which type. The one you have labeled as bulbul? is an Asian Paradise Flycatcher (one of my favourite birds).

Nice.

Out of curiosity, Which version of 1.4x extender did you use?

Thanks for the comment and for the correct ID.
I still have a few images of Parakeets, a small warbler type of bird, bee eater that need extensive cropping.

I use the Kenko, 300 Pro. With this extender, you retain Autofocus ability at least with 6D and the Canon 400/f5.6. Autofocus was the main reason for choosing Kenko.
I have not compared the image quality with a Canon 1.4X but I have read you do not get autofocus ability. The image quality is acceptable for me! I have made small prints and they look fine.
