Anyone know how to import an Adobe PDF form into Word as a workable document?
Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

Doesn't really work like that. There are tools to extract the text from a PDF (you can generally even copy and paste) but if you're expecting to open the document and be able to edit it like it was created in Word, I've never seen anything that does that well at all.

PDF was really intended as a final delivery format... not an editing format... so it's somewhat hard to back it out and retain the formatting.

I use the Mac version of this, and it works great:

There are others, too

If you have Adobe Acrobat(XI-) you can do this very easy! Just tested it , again, to be sure..Images and text coverted 100% And I could edit the Word doc fine.

This site converts your PDF to a Word file for free and sends you the link. Took two minutes and it worked great for a very complex PDF that I converted. You can then make changes and re-convert back to PDF if you so desire.

As Dan posted Adobe Acrobat XI is the most reliable way.
But: If your printer is able to scan and supports OCR (would be an option with printer software download). You can scan the document as Save AS Editable Text (OCR) and it will open in Word.

There are free OCR downloads online for converting scanned documents but I've never used any of them.
