A few weeks ago I was thinking that I hadn't seen very many Hoverflies, and it had been a long time since I had taken photos of them. Then for the last two weeks I've seen more of them than I have all year. Here are two that I haven't posted yet, the second one was taken yesterday in 23C temps (crazy warm in southern Italy right now).
Tech Specs: Canon 70D (F14, 1/250, ISO 800) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (@1x) + a diffused MT-24EX. This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held.

I'm trying to shoot more between 1x and 2x now that I've managed to get good diffusion out of the MT-24EX in that range.
