http://www.acestarweddings.co.uk from UK stole a lot of my wedding images. I see other photographs that are too good for an a-hole like that so chances are they are all stolen.

File a complaint. This might help https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/intellectual-property-office

A quick look at the site with tin-eye flags up some which i assume are yours, some from another blog i think, and some which could well be stock images.

I sent them an email about this. So far they haven't posted anything. I was in contact with them a while back about a similar case and they ignored it. As of right now, I don't know what's their agenda, but seems like they only post what they like, unfortunately.

Don't email them. Get a UK lawyer and hit 'em hard.

I am in contact with a few people. I didn't want to sue,but they clearly lied. I'll give them a way out. If they won't take it, it will go to court. I have so much evidence, it will be an easy fight.

... Get a lawyer ... pay him a few bucks to draw up a bill that will stand up in court (with appropriate evidence that those are your photos) ... and stop them from doing business until at such time you are duly compensated ...

These crooks are still in business, still haven't learned and still using images of other photographers. I contacted a few agencies in UK to see if they can shut them down or fine them or investigate them for fraud(including tax fraud, since people like that looove to work under the table)

I may have missed this, but what about contacting their web hosting service? Maybe they can shut down access to the site?

Good idea! How about filing a local police report for theft? How about Facebook and Twitter? They are on there.

They are posting ads on different sites. I've already contacted their hosting provider and a ton of images were removed from this scam site of Ace Star Weddings in UK I am sure if they do it again, their hosting account will be suspended.

This year was a nightmare. Found over 300 stolen images: news cites, magazines, celebrities, fashion stores, car rental companies, yellow pages, photographers, planners, actors, wedding blogs, musicians, real estate companies, etc

The sad part, most of these refuse to acknowledge their fault, with excuses such as " I found it on google and anything on google is free" lol..

Take http://www.transactionpub.com/ Transaction Publishers. This Publisher scammer stole one of my journalism images, then edited it and then put ON A COVER of a book, which was sold on Amazon, Google, and many other stores. No apology was received they pretty much told me to "f$$ off" And the list goes on.

I read an incredible story about about a woman named Meagan who felt that in order to make it in the photography industry she would have to steal entire libraries of photographs from photographers websites and Face Book and other social media accounts, and from blogs and the like.

Then she posted the stolen photos on her own site, doing nothing more than stamping the photo with her watermark and copyright. She got away with it for a year or two before she got caught. She was booking photo shoots based on clients seeing 'her work' on Face Book or elsewhere.

I don't have to worry. The photos I post online are generally crap. But I don't host my photos online anywhere anyways really.

I have a free Photobucket account for the odd occasional shot that I do post, and I'm not too worried about someone stealing them when I do post them.

I feel sorry for anyone who has had their stuff lifted and misused, especially a fellow Canadian - DimitriM.

It's unfortunate there are scumbags everywhere.

Not a good idea.

Legally copyright infringement is not theft. Theft is theft. Copyright infringement is copyright infringement.

The police are going to tell you to handle it civilly. It's probably not a criminal matter.

Factually incorrect..."Copyright Infringement as Theft"
Plus has nothing to do with filing a police report...

You are correct Dan! Many legal precedents already on books about this exact subject. While it may NOT be criminal ( post-it is criminal in many states) it IS civil. Check the legal precedents.. There are legal precedents stating it is both. In the UK it is even more clear and is BOTH criminal and civil!

Plus point well taken.."what does it have to do with filing a police report?"
Dom

Addendum...after further research..it IS a criminal offense is many states, and the legal precedence is there. Also in the UK also.
