Really nice. The second one I find particularly extraordinary. I'd probably crop the sky part of the tree but it's lovely as is too.

I am with lightskyland here, the second is the way to go, after the top shave...

Cheers!

All are great images but to me I keep going back to number one - the sharpness is spectacular and appears I'm looking at it in person! What's going on in the upper left corner btw? ;o)

Hi guys,
Thanks for your comments. I wish I had mountain vistas to work with, but their ain't no mountains in Florida! Glad that you like them and thanks for taking the time to look!

Jim, Very nice shots. Us flatlanders here in Florida don't have a lot of spectacular mountain vistas to work with so we make the swamps speak for us. Love #1 and yes there is some kind of funk at the top left, probably could clone it out and #3 is a real wall hanger. Keep up the good work. What lens were you shooting with, it's pretty sharp.

I like #2 a lot. Try to crop a little more of the sky and see what happens if you straighten the picture so the flower part is horizontal, it may look better.
Very nice set altogether! Good work!

Jim these are exceptional. I photograph in Florida every winter after a business trip and I appreciate the challenges of shooting landscapes there. The biggest problem is clutter -- a scene that looks beautiful to the eye is very difficult to turn into a nice clear photography. All there of these succeed at that. Congratulations!

While the first is fantastic, I'm actually most drawn into #3. But what is going on with the in the top center? Is this a stitching alignment issue? If so, it would be worth fixing, because otherwise that is a wonderful image of a slough.

I really like the 2nd and 3rd one. (The second one unfortunately looked like it suffered a bit with motion blur though which makes a few parts of it uncomfortable looking due to multiple-shot HDR not combining properly, once again proving why sensors with max DR really can be useful despite some claims to the contrary)

EDIT: I made a mistake and meant to say it was the second one that had the weird thing going on in the upper center, not the third one

HI,
The third image was my first attempt at a panorama. I have to workon my stiching. I'll rework my crops on the first two. Thanks for letting me know. Regards,
Jim

Hey Jim,

I like all 3 of these, very well done.

But also they are very too large... 850 pix on the wide side is the largest they should be.

Thanks,

Jim

Jim, for panoramas, the forum rules say 600 px on the vertical and let the horizontal go where it may. Right?

#1 seems nice to me. Very vivid and realistic, like I'm seeing it in person.
#3 has too much going on. It's pretty but doesn't really stir any emotions.

(and this day and age and for landscape of all things, size matters, the rule makes the second one like a postage stamp on a typical monitor of today and for images like these with so much detail and texture, these are the sort where the more resolution the better, they are not simple scenic mountain overlooks)

Jim,

I like the third one.

As about first, I have two problems with it- it has poor separation of mid-plane from a background, and it looks slanted to my eyes. I played with it, and in my opinion, it looks better when straight.

In second shot, lack of interesting feature on foreground, and multiple reflections on the water make it look too busy.

Sasha.

Hey Jim,

Happy Thanksgiving to you too! One more thought on looking at these again. With #1, I would lose the little bit of open blue sky in the upper left hand corner. Usually when it comes to the sky, little areas of it like you have end up being distracting, it's pretty much all or nothing when it comes to the sky.
