People usually don't associate these birds with south Florida because they're too busy focusing on the ibis, spoonbills and other tropicals. Not a pretty bird on the ground but pretty magnificent in its soaring mode. As you can see they don't have the cleanest looking feathers.

I didn't get close enough but I'm sure the meal is either a raccoon or an opossum.
