This monitor has a TN panel, so it won't be great off-axis for color. Color accuracy on-axis should generally be fine, though - especially when calibrated.
General rule of thumb is to stay away from TN panels for serious photo editing, but I guess it depends on what your standards are.
I shopped 4K monitors hard before I made my purchase decision. There is only one sub $1000 IPS 4K panel that I'm aware of, and that's the 24" Dell unit. I did not find any 28-30" 4K IPS monitors. The next IPS panel up from the 24" were 31-32" units which run $1400-$2000.
