Thanks for looking, structures & car within 1/2 mile of each other.

Comments welcomed.

I like old buildings and that house makes a nice subject. I drove cars from that era as a kid.

I was there a couple of years ago. Love you're perspective on the car, when I was there it didn't interest me enough to even photograph it. Nice set of images.

Thanks everyone, glad you enjoy the set.

The site is a little more 'modern' than what I'd expected but then seems most older structures, particularly ghost towns and mining site have burned to the ground more than once. Also, the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) razed structures at other locations in national parks.

Lack of humidity helps preserve wood; would have completely rotted long ago in this part of the country.

Regards,

Bob

A little tighter crop to concentrate attention on the view inside the rear window...

Man, Bob... stop making me want one of these cameras!!

Really like the set you put forth here.

#1 - love the pop from the pine needles and the flow through the scene. Nit would be to cut out a tiny bit of the foreground.

#2 - might need to have the highlights addressed and a rotation to the right (it's difficult to tell if it's the orientation of the shot or the structure failing)

#3 - great light, tone and texture!

#4 - well-captured.

#5 - agree with eeneryma on the crop - the top section competes for my attention and the soft car/window is a great frame.

Cheers,

Jeff

Sorry I didn't get to this sooner, Bob.
My excuse? Not much to say. It a fine series with carefully thought out compositions, your great BW conversions and toning, and a nice tour.
Impressive control of the highlights in the mine interior.
I could go either way on the crop of the last image.
Seems like a great place to shoot. and you have done it justice.

Scott,

No problem - happy you had an opportunity to look and comment, and thank you for the kind thoughts.

Yes, fun and interesting place breaking the mold of my routine ventures. I find myself often wanting to learn more about the history of these places.

Regards,

Bob
