Thanks, putting together a large blurb book takes me a lot of time. My layout was pretty simple so the actual book only took a day of effort. It was the processing that wore me out. I had about 200 images that I had processed while traveling. They were processed while using my laptop and some needed to be redone. I processed about 200 more images for a total of about 400. I reviewed these on my monitor but had difficulty making the selections for the book. So I used Qimage software to batch process and downsized and added a small amount of sharpening. I uploaded about 300 images and had Costco print about them at 4x6 for $0.13 each. I then culled and sorted to approximately layout the book. I think I retained about 150 images as book worthy.
Next I had to prepare the images for printing. I typically process with my monitor at a low brightness setting of about 80. Even so I know that processed images that look good on the monitor will print too dark. I had to review each image, adjust the brightness, set the color space to sRGB and save as a JPEG to a new file.
I thought about asking for some help with this workflow but could not think of an appropriate forum. I suppose I could have posted on the PP and Printing Forum but there is not much traffic on that forum.
