Beautiful shots. Where did you have to set up to get the pictures? Was that on private property or public? Love to be able to get to the same spot myself.

Both are great shots, but the blue hour is stunning. Something you don't get to see anywhere else!

Thanks Runakid. It was inbetween the Brooklyn and manhattan bridge. The area is public.

As others have said, the **Blue Hour** is special., and your image is stunning of the apple.
Well done !!

As for a constructive critique..
just need to keep a eye on your horizon line

and possibly a different crop

I will gladly remove, if you have any problem with it.

Thank you for the kind words and the feedback indyfab. The hardest part of the shot was trying to get it level since it was on gravel rocks. The tripod I have is really old and it actually broke later that night, so I get to get a new one.

Blake, I don't know what editing program your using, but in Adobe LR, you just go to the crop tool and there is a angle tool there. All you needed to do was drag it from one end of water to other, closest to manhattan. wala... a straight horizon. Hope that helps.

Consider a Gitzo Tripod..

I do use Adobe LR and have seen the tool, wasn't quite sure how to use it. Thanks for the information. I would love to consider a Gitzo tripod, but the budget doesn't allow for one. I believe I am going to go with a Manfrotto.
