Eight hours a day for 5 days sitting in the dark listening to lectures is not my favorite way to spend the day but it is a necessary evil to keep up to date on the goings on in my field. This is how I like to spend my time when the lights go down....most see spots in front of their eyes during the day....I am much happier when I see them at night

Eight hours a day for 5 days in the dark would mean a lot of sleep for me

This is one heck of shot Eric at this time of evening. I'm counting whiskers buddy!

Your right, Eric. It is daytime, and I am definitely seeing spots right now. Should I schedule an appointment? Wonderful night shot. Tough to get good white balance on these type of shots. This looks 'spot' on.

Beautiful cat, Eric. I was wrong to think the cat will sleep at night. Your hard work is paid off.

A great way to shake of the 'traumas' of the daytime activities Eric. Excellent shot.

Thanks, we rushed to get a couple of shots of this little lady before the bush police came to get us...night drives aren't really allowed in this concession...it was sort of like going thru a yellow light that may be turning red as you pass it

I actually may have gotten better night shots with my earlier cameras than the newer ones and for reasons I can't explain

Thanks Tam...leopards are most certainly night hunters...I've been very lucky to see them during the day but it at night where they are the most dangerous and do most of their killing

Marcy, I have a hard time remembering what I had for breakfast than how I shot this 10 years ago....seriously, I suspect it was the white spot light that they still used back then along with some fill flash....I was using a Canon 10D back then!

I don't see spots, I see rosettes. I feel lucky to only have 32 hours of continuing ed in my field.

Thanks, it was in Botswana in '04 (and I don't mean 1904 )....I doubt I used a better beamer...not sure if it was around back then and if so, I probably hadn't even heard of it.

Touche Herb...you are correct of course....How ironic that an electrician would have to spend 32 hours in the dark
