Speak your mind.
We moved the Nikon to Nikon so time for Canon on Canon.
My annoyances are quite simple.
The dedicated cine line and abandonment of improving and being competitive with the DSLR video, which is a revolution that Canon stumbled into but started. Panasonic and Sony cameras produce much better imaging at extremely affordable pricing and the features even top some of the most expensive Canon cine gear.
The lack of a top notch reliable and consistent 50mm.
The lack of AF assist on the more expensive bodies, no I don't want a $400 speed light just to have af assist, 3rd party af assist on triggers have been imo spotty and not adequate. I want my speed light off camera and I want AF assist on those rare moments when I can't lock AF.
The inability to slave optically canon speed lights.
The stubborn atitude. Canon seems set in its ways and yes it works from a business standpoint but I can't stand reading that Canon believes that they have "the best sensors" available today.
Could I use more DR. Yes, but I am not nuts about it. Could I use a cleaner high ISO absolutely(I hate pushing the MK3 past 3200).
Introductory pricing is at times insane.
I love everything else. I love the accuracy of my MK3's. Made in Japan pretty much everything which imo I find just slightly more detailed than say Nikon, less bugs and failures. I love my 1.2 glass. My 135 L is the shizz. My 70-200 2.8 IS II can't be beat or matched by any other maker. The 100L is sharper and more consistent than any other macro lens I have ever used and it is fantastic for portraits as well. I love the color rendition even from the cheapest of lenses from Canon. IS primes, love them(hey where is a 50mm, and maybe a 20mm?).
