Have any of you shot the Nikon 85 1.4G?

I think I'll switch to Nikon, but I am on the fence about the 85 1.4G. I have shots the CZ 85 1.4 for years, and the 85L I have owned. I loved them both and consider them to be the cream of the crop for 85s. If you guys have any input on the 85 1.4G compared to the 85L on FF cameras, I would love to hear. Thanks.

And I posted in the Nikon form as well, but I am brand agnostic, and I'd like the more comprehensive view. The 85 1.4G doesn't seem to garner the same absolute respect as the 85L or 85 CZ.

Thoughts?

I have not shot with an 85G but I have checked out the Flickr pool from it. It renders similarly to the zeiss 85 in my opinion, which is high praise. Check the link below:

Its a great lens. Imo, the 85 1.8G is the best lens made in the 1.8 line up. The difference between the 1.4 vs 1.8 was very very minor. Honestly hard to tell apart often. The 85 1.8G is a superb lens. The 1.4 G is also a great lens. The Canon 1.2 is a little more artistic for lack of a better word, its a dream machine with really soft pastel colors and sharp when used properly.

If you changed mind, you can shoot 85L with canon bodies and A7(R,S). Imo, A7series give you better focusing precision in shallows dof than any canikon DSLR. Here is 100% A7R sooc crop from a small size jpg @ f1.2:

They have much slower AF work flows but their IQ is one great rewards:

there's always the leica r 80 summilux and the sigma 85
i think the 85 1.2 is an amazing lens that makes magical bokeh, it's hard to get that from other lenses if that's the look you are after.
