My photography and post processing skills still leave a lot to be desired...lol. But I thought I'd post a few pics taken with my D7100 and Tamron 150-600 at Jones Beach last Saturday. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I think the beach bunnies need to be on the lookout for the red tail...the kestrel is also a beauty.

Thanks, Eric. I think it's actually a Cooper's Hawk and a Merlin. A pair of Coopers were actively hunting warblers together.

This is a very nice set Dexter. When shooting portraits, you might want to use a single focus point and place it on the birds eye as having sharp eyes is very important. The last is my pick.

Thank you for confirming that the raptors are migrating through. I'm going to head out and see who I find in a little while.

Thanks for the helpful reminder, Morris. I'll definitely keep it in mind as I shoot. And yes, the raptors are definitely moving through the area in large numbers. I just came back from the Fort Tilden viewing platform, and the guy who does the unofficial count there had tallied 342 raptors up to the time I left. Sharpies, Merlins, and Kestrels were just whizzing by low overhead during the couple hours I spent there.

Good to see someone else working the Big Tammy.

Very nice set Dexter. Some of the better detail I have seen with that lens on a Nikon body.
