More parade shots to share. These were taken in my adopted home town of Choluteca, located in southern Honduras on the Gulf of Fonseca. Independence day for Honduras is September 15, and to celebrate there are parades in every population center, be it a larger village, district center, or city. The parades are mostly students representing their respective school, but there are also police, military and politicians participating. The smaller children have their parades the day before in their neighborhoods so they are free to see the bigger event the next day. Its a fun time for the students and spectators alike. Choluteca is a challenge, because of extreme heat, but teachers and parents work hard to keep the kids hydrated. I have both color and B&W images. I'll post the B&W in another thread.
Enjoy, Chris
