I'm not really a birder, and so I felt pretty good about my decision this year to shoot songbirds only when there was nothing else to do. You know what I'm talking about. Stupid fox kits staying in their den? All right, here goes the warbler then. That sort of thing. The results are intriguing. Perhaps mostly ignoring and treating songbirds as something of an afterthought is the way to go!
