First time posting in this subforum, so don't be too harsh
I've been to the Golden Gate bridge a LOT of times and due to the unpredictability of the climate in SF, I'd always come to a completely fogged out view of the bridge. Luckily, since October is the best month, I decided to take the 1 hour journey up to SF while keeping tabs on the weather.
Just as I got there a bank of fog was streaking across the Golden Gate Bridge. I found it kind of odd there weren't many people here and it was comfortably warm. But it was a really fun to watch the scene change literally minute by minute. Watching the fog do it's dance into the bay and hearing the ominous fog horn sound was awesome. Nothing beats spending an evening above fog watching the city. It really does make you feel like you are on top of the world.
