That's right. Popflash.com has the new 85mm Otus in stock in both mounts. If you say you are from Zeissimages.com, you will get it for $4377.00 and Free shipping in the US.

Looking forward to a similar discount for the ZM 35/1.4 . That one looks phenomenal.

they also listed on ebay. You can get another $89 in ebay buck.

I would buy it but California tax would kill the deal for me.

Hey, 3% is 3%!

Materially speaking, $113 will pay for two tanks of gas for your average car (or ten tanks for my motorcycle), a really nice birthday dinner...or a lot of similar things! It's nice of Jorge to share the name-drop tidbit.

The tests I've seen of the Otus 85 are very impressive. One of my favorite lenses is Canon's 85L, and the Zeiss' image quality from GO! is really gorgeous. I think I'd need an EVF to make it work, though.

Damned middle age!

If some kind soul anonymously slips 5 $1000 bills under my door I will seriously consider it. Then I will go out and lay in enough food that I don't have to go out for Polar Vortex season.

I'm sure it's a technically near-perfect lens, but I'm really happy with my 40-year-old Nikon 85/1.8 that cost $150(plus another $150 for a grease job).
