These images were taken this past June on the beautiful island of Kauai.
1. Kukuiolono Park Rooster - The chickens of Kauai are almost as famous as the beaches. There has long been wild ones, but the locals say the population really took off after the 1992 hurricane. That storm devastated forests but also set many chickens free. Now they freely reproduce. This in an introduced species, but has been on the various Hawaiian islands for hundreds of years.
2. Cattle Egret on Waimea Canyon Drive - Never domesticated, but still an introduction. The first ones went on vacation to Hawaii in 1959, and let their passports expire there.
3. Elepaio - Taken while hiking the Koke trail near Waimea Canyon - One of the few native species I saw, the elapaio is a curious bird. I'd equate it, in a way, to the chickadee. The pic is not the best, and this is a bit of a crop.
Lucky Bonus Shot - Taken on the Na Pali coast from a rocking boat. The geology here is very cool looking! Plenty of rainbows too when rain squalls are rolling through.

Let me know what I've done right and what I've done wrong. If you are indifferent, you can tell me that too.
Cheers!
