Nikon certainly could of included a 1/8000 shutter and 8 fps in crop mode for almost no extra manufacturing cost, and improved their margin by $200 per camera. In my opinion, it will cost Nikon extra money as a 1/8000 max speed shutter is more expensive than 1/4000 max speed shutter, at least the ones that Nikon used in the D6x0, D750 compared to the ones used in D8x0. The shutter mechanism for the 1/4000 cameras are rated at 150k while those for the 1/8000, is rated at 200k. Of course the flagships are rated at 400k (all from memory, so exact numbers maybe different). The point is that if Nikon chose a 1/8000 shutter for the D750, then probably it would have been priced higher and not where Nikon wants it to be.
