I love when the subject is on a slightly higher elevation and I can get low in the vehicle and shoot straight on...in the heat of the day this cat used the tree for shade but still gave us a great look. I do suspect I've created a leopard image overload so I will look for other things to post for awhile....but maybe not too long.

Good capture Eric. I like that explored so many angles and looks when shooting your cats.

This is very well done Eric. Having big cats above me is something that I find rather scary as they jump very well

Please keep them coming Eric. I wish I had a tenth of your luck with these cats. You are going to have to let me know your secret. All the best.

Thanks Tim...I love when I can get this type of shot with a shorter lens....used my 300mm 2.8 on a 1D2 in those days.

Thanks Ken....after getting some "safety" shots I try to get in positions that afford better looks..not always possible but with a good guide sometimes we find angles that work well.

It can be a bit unnerving but its worth the increased heart rate.

lovely shot there, Eric. You are making my itch to go to Africa much stronger.
Is this Oliver? if so, her lower front canines are intact in this pic. In most of the others, her lower right one seems to have been broken.

No, this is another lovely feline from southern Africa...but a pretty face nonetheless. Good pickup on Olive's broken canines
