Blank for me too but I got a warning that a different reader might be need to view the file.

So I just right mouse clicked on the greyed out document, and chose "Save File As" and selected the desktop as the destination, and opened it with Adobe Reader X when it was finished.

Now I can view it just fine.

From what Canon has published, I can see myself adding this camera to my collection.

Opens fine for me. I clicked link in Firefox, but it opens reader for me externally rather than in browser.

Thanks for the link.

I like how the central point is still x-type @ f/8. It would have bene nice if like Nikon when you have f/8 lens you can select one of the eight points surrounding the central point as well, but that's a minor quibble. Overall it outspecs 1D X AF, so it'll be interesting to see how it goes in real world.

I'm quite surprised that many slower lenses don't get all 65 normal precision crosses, and that EF 100/2.8 Macro USM doesn't get the high precision X cross...

But it is still better than any 9pt AF of the past or the 19pt AF in 7[0]D...

Thanks, too.
Did not work in firefox, but saving to disk and open it offline works perfect.

Fascinating new possibilities in my opinion. Maybe In a couple of years I will start to use more than the center AF point. But of course for me all this would be more interesting when Canon redefines ETV.

As someone who shoots a lot of indoor sports, the anti-flicker mode is a fascinating idea. No clue how it'll work out in practice or if it will throw timing off too much, but I like the concept!

One might think getting the camera out in Sept. would sell a few cameras for football season. I doubt HS football is on Canon's radar though.

The hidden gem in 7dii is that the bulb timer permits settings of times. Eg. you can set the bulb for 90 seconds. This is a great enhancement for landscape. It means you don't need a stop watch and you don't have to hang out near your camera. I know you can do this with a remote but its a pain to do in the field (dark at dawn).

I need this in my 5diii. Hopefully we will see a mass roll out of this feature on hardware upgrades and new cameras.

One of my pet peeves in recent years is that you don't get a manual with a new camera or computer anymore.

They're not shipping one with the 7D Mark II according to the "What's in the box"

Question regarding all the AF points. I have always used the center point for BIF, (not enough time or fast enough to use other points) however I will use different points for still subjects when composing the shot. (plenty of time to compose and move to other points)

Is this the proper use of the AF points..

It is expected since this lens, like most of the macro lenses, doesn't have a constant aperture. That's the same with the 1Dx/5D3's AF module.
