Reggie,
Not much in the way of critique, don't have the time to give them a better looking over right now, but the general feeling of the set is great; fantastic compositions, and remember what dhp_sf got from this wedding, I can imagine your coverage being valuable.
Your coverage of the people is really great, but I'm really enjoying the thoughtful but somewhat unexpected compositions you bring to the shooting the details. I'm not sure why, but I really like the shot of the shoes, probalby the crop that isn't what you'd normally see. Also, the overall shot of the ballroom with the centerpiece in the middle, is that 58/1.4 (too lazy to parse exif).
Anyhow, always enjoy these posts from you, they are inspiring.

Thanks, Joe! I always appreciate your kind words. I like to think I have a knack for shooting details, or at least, I enjoy shooting details the most (over portraits and candids). And for the overall shot of the ballroom, I used the Nikon 50 1.4. I didn't have the 58 at the time.
And dude, your photos are inspiring.

I agree with Joseph... really solid work and particular compliments on the detail shots - and the professionalism with which you handle references/credits/appreciation to Duy and Mike.
In a world short on it, you're a class act, Reggie.
Regards,
Chuck
That means a lot, Chuck. Since day one of pursuing wedding photography, I've made it a point to present myself in the most professional way possible -- keeping humility as the main pillar of my personal brand as an assistant/second photographer. I'm more than happy to put down the camera and hustle when the situation calls for it. I'm very glad that it shows in the way I present myself and my work.

Reggie consistently kicks ass. True story.
The details are clean--exactly how I like em. Some of the color shots from the reception the skin is a bit orange--can't remember if that was the video lights or not, but I think it would look better if the tones were cooled a bit for the skin or made B&W.
Not much to add... You sound a little disappointed at what you got--why do you think that is? What were you hoping for or where do you feel you were lacking personally?
Yeah, the orange is from the video lights. And I was on the fence of making it a B&W.
I guess with the grand venue and the work that was put into the decorations/details, I had all the right cards to get some epic shot. What that shot is? I don't exactly know. Maybe I'm searching for my unicorn, haha. But now that I look back at the photos, I guess I did churn out some solid work .

These are really nice. Good compositions. Maybe a few tweaks here and there but this would be nit picking because of taste.
This is some good solid shooting. Better to have consistent shooting than 1 epic and mediocre at best detail/coverage of the day stuff.
You would be surprised how some shooters can rock an epic shot in a wedding but if you look at the overall quality of an entire wedding .... pretty sucky.
I am thinking of some shooters here in the Big "D".
Thanks for the feedback Ziffl3! I've been working on getting consistent quality throughout the whole day. I do feel that I'm weak at ceremony stuff (as well as posed portraits, but that's another story for another day), so it's something I'm working on.
